How to create and configure a payment terminal in vaylens step by step

This guide is available as interactive click-guide if you have a Tango subscription. 

Preconditions:

  • An active vaylens account

  • The serial number of the payment terminal is known

  • The terminal ID is provided by vaylens or your own Payment Service Provider

  • Only active chargers can be linked to the payment terminal

Terminal ID

If you are using the payment terminal within the eMarketplace, the terminal ID needs to be requested by vaylens. Please send a request to help@emobility.software with following information:

  • Company name

  • Business partner address (town, postal code, street & house number)

  • Total number of payment terminals to be integrated

  • Location of the charger (city, postal code, street & house number)

  • Commissioning date

 

1. Click on Payment Terminal to manage your existing payment terminal(s) and create a new one.

2. Choose whether you want to onboard an integrated or a standalone payment terminal and click on Create Payment Terminal in the corresponding tab to add a new payment terminal.

3. Click on Next if you have all required information available.

You find the payment terminal serial number on the shipping label of your charger or on the back of the payment terminal itself. The Terminal ID needs to be supplied by vaylens or your payment service provider.

4. Insert hardware details and choose a name for your payment terminal.

5. Type in your Payment Terminal Serial Number and Terminal ID. Then click on Save and Continue.

6. Type in your new password for the receipt server authentication.

Please note, that you need to use the same password and receipt server username for the charger hardware configuration.

The charger to be assigned must not be in fair mode as this will cause authorizations to fail. This can be checked and adjusted in the hardware configuration on site.

7. Click on Save and Continue to select the charger.

 

8. Tick the checkboxes to select the corresponding charger.

Only operative chargers with the eOperate professional product assigned can be selected.

9. Click on Save and Continue to confirm and complete the creation.

10. Congratulations, you have created a new payment terminal in vaylens!

Click on Close to leave the modal and go back to the payment terminal menu item.

Congratulations, you have created a new Payment Terminal within your eOperate portal
