How to onboard a wallbe ZAS payment terminal

Add a wallbe ZAS integrated payment terminal to your charging infrastructure

Please note that vaylens currently only supports Payment Terminals that are configured with the following Payment Service Providers (PSP): Payone, Fiserv and Planet.

The menu item Manage > Payment Terminal offers the possibility to manage your payment terminals.
The overview provides you with terminal specific information such as Name, Terminal ID, Serial Number, Charging station ID, address information and tariff.

If a valid tariff has been assigned, this is shown here as a green tick. If an invalid tariff has been assigned, this is shown by an orange warning triangle and an error message.

  • The charger only supports kWh based price components of the assigned tariff. If a minute or session price component is assigned, the tariff is marked as invalid.
  • Within the AC charge points, the tariff must be the same for all charge points. If a different tariff is assigned to at least one AC charge point, the tariff is marked as invalid.

To add a wallbe ZAS payment terminal to your charging infrastructure, go to Manage > Payment Terminal, select the Integrated tab and click + Create new.

A wizard will open and guide you through the process. On the second step Master data, select the payment terminal Manufacturer and Model, assign a Name, enter the Payment Terminal Serial number as well as the Terminal ID (TID).
The payment terminal serial number is printed on the shipping label of the charger or can be found on the back of the payment terminal itself.
The Payment token serves as a key element for authorization during an OCPP message exchange with vaylens. The token can be freely defined, but it must be identically configured in both the vaylens portal and the local payment terminal configuration. Please also communicate this payment token to our vaylens support.

If you do not have your own contract with a PSP, the terminal ID needs to be requested from vaylens in advance. Please send a request to help@emobility.software with following information:

  • Company name

  • Business partner address (city, postal code, street & house number)

  • Total number of payment terminals to be integrated

  • Location of the charger (city, postal code, street & house number)

  • Commissioning date

Please note that it may take about two weeks to provide a terminal ID.

In the next step, it is required to set a Password that is used for basic authentication between the charger who transmits all receipt info to the receipt server, which in return communicates this information to the vaylens backend. The receipt server username is provided, whereas the password can be chosen.

Please ensure that receipt server username and password are also entered locally at the charger.

The next step is to assign up to two chargers that are to be selectable for charging via the payment terminal. The list of chargers can be limited using the search and filter function. The process is completed by clicking on Save and Continue.

To complete the final setup, a technician or staff member will need to access the physical payment terminal on site and conduct a local configuration.
