Smooth migration from Enterprise to vaylens

Everything you need to know about the migration process

The following information only applies for customers using our Enterprise backend.

 

Are you ready to transition seamlessly from Enterprise into our advanced vaylens portal? In this article, we will guide you through the migration process step by step, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free transition.


Why do we need a migration?

The migration is essential to ensure we continue offering you maximum reliability, top-notch functions and innovative products for your charging infrastructure operations. To ensure your customer focus, we decided that we we will only further develop the vaylens portal from now on. 

Who is concerned/Who needs to be migrated?

All Enterprise customers and their associated charging infrastructure will be migrated to vaylens. We will invite you to migrate when your individual feature set is ready within vaylens to ensure a smooth switch from Enterprise to vaylens.

What will be migrated and are there information that will not be migrated?

All relevant data and configurations related to your charging infrastructure will be migrated. However, the configuration of publicising your charging infrastructure has to be done manually by yourself after the migration. In that way we ensure that only the charging stations you want to be seen publicly will be visible in dedicated apps and maps.

When will the migration take place?

We will invite you to migrate when your individual feature set is ready within vaylens to ensure a smooth switch from Enterprise to vaylens. The migration itself will then take place whenever you are ready to move with us, starting in May 2024. You will have time until the end of 2024 before we need you to migrate or close your tenant. 

What happens the day of the migration?

On the day of the migration, our team will ensure the seamless transfer of your charging infrastructure to vaylens. On the migration day itself, you may experience temporary disruptions in service during the transition, but our goal is to minimize any impact on your operations. To avoid the loss of charging session data and related revenue, please make sure that no charging session will take place on the migration day. 

What do I need to do in order to prepare for the migration?

Nothing. When you successfully booked your migration slot, you are ready to go.

If requested in the booking form, the EVSE-ID stickers will be sent to you and onboarding guides for vaylens are provided via mail or within the vaylens portal itself. We will contact you a few days prior to the migration date with a reminder. We recommend attending our webinar where we will provide detailed information about the migration process and address any questions or concerns you may have. The invitation link to the webinar will be provided to you via email.

What will change for me?

With the migration to vaylens, you will experience improved reliability, enhanced functionality and access to innovative features to streamline your operations within vaylens instead of the Enterprise Backend. From the migration day onwards, you can enjoy using vaylens with all extended features you need to manage your charging infrastructure.

Do Enterprise customers get a special price offer for vaylens?

Yes, we have a special offer for our Enterprise customers who migrate to vaylens with us. The special offer will be available only within the migration booking form we will send to you via email, but here is a short preview:

  • No monthly fees until 31.01.2025
    (6,90 € per AC charge point/13,80 € per DC charger starting from 01.02.2025)
  • No charger installation costs
  • No charge for EMAID & RFID management 
  • No charge for EVSE-ID stickers
