What is Community Charging?
Community Charging allows you to charge at an operators' charging stations for a special price with convenient monthly billing.
How to use Community Charging?
The owner or operator of the charging stations needs to invite you via your email address to join Community Charging. Please contact the operator of the charging stations to get an invite to use Community Charging as EV driver at his stations. You will then receive an email from vaylens with an activation code.
- Use the activation code from the invitation email to register for Community Charging in the vaylens eCharge+ app. You can download our eCharge+ in the App Store für Apple devices and Play Store for Android devices.
- Enter your name, billing address and payment method during the registration process. These information will be used to monthly bill your charging sessions with Community Charging. Your details remain with vaylens and will not be forwarded to the operator of the charging stations.
- After registration, you can use Community Charging to start charging sessions at charge stations where the operator activated Community Charging.
- You will receive a monthly invoice for your charging sessions of the prior month. The invoice amount will be automatically booked from your payment method entered during the registration process. You can update your payment method any time in your Community Charging contract settings.
Who can I contact if I have questions?
- If you have questions about your invitation or problems with your activation code, please contact the operator of the charging stations.
- If you have questions about prices or available charge points, please also contact the operator of the charging stations.
- If you have questions regarding the contract, the billing or payment process, please contact our vaylens support team via email to help@emobility.software.
What if Community Charging is not visible in my app?
- Please check if you have the latest version of our eCharge+ app.
- If you already have an active Community Charging contract, you can re-login in the app via Settings > Payment Methods > Add Payment Method > Community Charging. Use your email address and password that you created in your registration.
- Please check, if you have any open invoices. If the invoice amount can not be booked from your entered payment method, your Community Charging contracted will be paused until your open invoice is paid. You can update your payment method in the settings of your Community Charging contract.
